Project: You are Invited: Big Prizes Inside is an invitation for participants to reflect on their relationship to collective climate action with the people who know them best. The piece was selected for the Human Impacts Institute's 2026 Creative Climate Awards in NYC! From April 16th to May 14th, it was showcased alongside other international artists, all exploring (and inspiring!) collective climate action through art. The inaugural activation of the piece closed May 31,2026.

Through a structured set of questions, participants are invited to clarify their values, seek input from trusted relationships, and identify areas for growth. Participants are invited to share their commitments with the artist and, optionally, the public.

 

The work shifts focus from technical solutions to the relational and adaptive challenges of collective action, emphasizing that a meaningful climate response requires shifts in attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs. The vocabulary of gambling plays with perceptions of risk and value in an addiction-based economy. By centering reflection and dialogue, the piece creates a space for individuals to recognize their role within broader systems of change and to take adaptive steps toward collective engagement.
